I will admit to sending a notice out to ALL of my friends on TMNT-L asking them to delete their profile information and leave that message board completely or even mark their accounts for deletion. I suggested deleting their accounts completely over the fact that they can easily be found, hopefully, the mods actually see that they did mark accounts for deletion.
I would like to set the records straight, however:
Yes, I did have problems with TMNT-L members in the past but I can guarantee that I'm NOT the only one who has. I'm just the only one who screamed "screw this, TMNT-L isn't worth it," told the mods and had Danceingfae, a mod on the site with full power, delete my account. I have NOT been on TMNT-L for about a year.
Yes, it is funny that it happened to my sister (making me think that I was the real target) but honestly, I have nothing to gain by committing social suicide by speaking out about popular but uncaring Moderators who would sooner care about their popular message board has large numbers than care about a friendship which lasted for several years. Sad. I know I have growing up to do but they have proved their immaturity in their priorities. I value my friends and I have given up the only thing that helped my endometriosis for my friends since they were all getting upset with me. I'd say that's more noble than their inability to keep a friend over a TV show/comic book/movies which in the end will not be there for them when they have a crisis.
Another thing I would like to point out is that whenever something happens, they immediately say "it didn't happen" and then pretend it didn't, especially when they are friends with the person who is the problem. I would like to point out to them and say that it's funny that they claim that it didn't happen and they do similar when they break their own rules. Bravo to Fumiko Kaida for pointing this out to them with one of their own was bashing Peter Laird and there are rules about not doing that. Heck, they even have rules saying no posting stupid things just to get their post count up. I think their Thread Killer, Thread Saver, and their TMNT-L Twitter threads are perfect examples of them breaking their own rules. I suspect that they know who this guy who came after my sister was and I will say that if ANYTHING happens to her, they are officially accomplices and they can get jail time if this is indeed the case.
Also, I would like to say that I have nothing to gain by making this up. If the specific mod who accused me of making this up thinks I do, I don't. What do I have to gain by making up trouble a year after my issues and I left the message board? Attention? I don't want it. The fewer people I deal with, the happier I am (besides, why do you all think I surround myself with 3 cats, 2 birds, and a dog?). Does she think I'm jealous of the so called popularity of TMNT-L and TMNT Freaks split up? No. I'm sad it did but there are other ways that we all talk.
Their logic of me just coming back for the heck of it to make trouble makes no sense what-so-ever. Their inability to think this through LOGICALLY is incredible. I agree, it is funny but it's not impossible. Also, my SN on there was AristaNiara, my sister was RyokoNiara. Hmm...Something tells me that someone thought my sister was me and I had only switched out Arista for Ryoko. IF this was the case, Fight with me, not with my sister.
TMNT-L is not to blame for what happened to my sister and I understand this. TMNT-L is like a small town, it's members residents and the moderators are like the police department. The sexual predator used TMNT-L as his grounds for choosing a victim. When there's trouble of any sort, the moderators look the other way and don't care, especially if one of their own is breaking their own rules, which makes me think that they're friends with the guy. They offer nothing. Not even a notice that something like this happened, or even just a reminder to keep your profiles safe and do not put information that could lead to your identity online. That would be the good idea. They don't care. They don't want to scare their people away which would mean their precious message board would be considered unsafe and people would leave.
No matter though. What's done is done and I want nothing to do with any of them. May the hell I went through pass to them in some way (Be it that their friend, sister, brother, or child) so that they can experience the fear, anger, and sense of helplessness that I have felt. I'm done with TMNT-L and the mods on that message board. May the mods get burned by the thing that they love most.
Good luck to you all and if you're on TMNT-L, be careful and I urge you to leave the site before you are the next victim. If you're a Moderator on TMNT-L, take a chain saw and shove it where the sun doesn't shine, do not contact me nor speak my name ever again. However, be forewarned: If anything happens to my sister, then by harboring your member, you are now an accomplice.
